Commissioners' Court appointed board members to the Hidalgo County Civil Service Commission Board. County Judge Ramon Garcia re-appointed Aurora Zamora to the Commission, Ms. Zamora has served previously on this Commission. Commissioner Hector "Tito" Palacios appointed Silvestre Rodriguez, a former Department of Human Services case manager who graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University with a Masters in Social Work. The Civil Service Commission Board is charged with the responsibility to adopt, publish and enforce rules relating to the selection of County employees and the procedural and substantive rights, advancement, benefits, and working conditions of County employees. Earlier today, County Judge Ramon Garcia administered the oath at his office, witnessed by Human Resource Director Esther A. Cortez.
